From my experience - counselors are added to your schools automatically at least for the ones where a counselor report is mandatory , you have to manually add teachers for each individual school you only have to input their contact info into Common App for your first school, then you just have to click their name on subsequent schools.
Again, I'd recommend double checking all your colleges to make sure you have added the required recommenders! My school uses Naviance and I'm having an issue where Naviance says my LOR was submitted to all colleges, but the common app only says that 2 of the 5 colleges on there have gotten it. Log in. Accepted Answer. Let me know if you need more clarification. DebaterMAX a year ago report. The first-year Common App for recommenders has extra tools to track student progress on the Common App. Note: An applicant can invite you as more than one recommender, e. Teacher and Other Recommender. Once an applicants adds you to their application, you'll receive an email invitation with a link to create an account. You have the option to decline an invitation or choose to use paper forms, if you wish.
When you open the invitation link, all you need to do is select a password to complete the process. If you want to update your name or email address, you can do so once you log in to your account. Note: The Advisor role does not allow users to complete and submit forms. The Common App for transfer recommender system lets you complete and submit forms for all students who have invited you as a recommender. Each recommender role has a different type of form to complete, except for Advisors, who do not submit forms.
Counselors, Teachers, and Other Recommenders all have the opportunity to upload a letter of recommendation and share how they know the applicant. At the top of the form you'll find some instructions on the form, as well as any notes or directions from your student.
Each recommender has the opportunity to share more about their relationship with their student and upload a letter of recommendation. For more information about completing forms specific to your role, check out our tutorial videos.
Colleges look to recommendation letters to see applicants from different perspectives — to get to know them better and identify what makes them unique.
I have a feeling that the common app is better for student who are applying to both Suny's and other schools so they only have one app. If you are only doing Suny's then this may be a better way to go. That is the final report but Suny's may not care. Other common ap schools want a mid year report. He says he will be out of town for 2 weeks and won't be able to fill out the evaluation form until he returns.
School doesn't start until 2 weeks, so he will likely give it to me when i see him around school. However, I don't really have a counselor. She assist every students in my liberal arts department but isn't helpful or care for her students. Everything is done except my short answer response and word essay. Common app doesn't have an option for submitting teacher's rec or transcripts. Also, thanks for the clarification on mid term report, will keep that in mind. If they won't then you own an extra copy of your transcript for yourself.
That is why I suggest you look into the Suny only application process. It might not require so much work. The Suny one may be the same. When are your deadlines? They are probably the same ones you can view on the common app. Supplements may be super simple like tell us your major or more elaborate like why do you want to study x? You need to look at the all to see what you will need to do.
In the statuses, it says received. All i need is to request my transcript from my school and send it out along with my letter of rec. However, when i looked up both schools for transfer, it doesn't seem they require a supplemental application.
I assume this is what supplemental app is for? I really don't want to miss out any component, so should i still do the above? The common app requires those 2 essays for all schools.
